DINGO
Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.Click here to learn more
BREED: Collie Cross
SEX: Male (Neutered)
AGE: Aprox. 1 Year
SIZE: Medium/Large
Dingo is a handsome young collie type dog who had been intended as a possible working sheepdog, but due to his former owner's health problems, this never happened and he was given up for rehoming. He is a lovely young dog, and is adjusting well to his new career plan as a companion dog, but will certainly need an experienced and empathic new owner to continue this process as he learns all about life in the domestic world away from the farm environment he first knew.
Dingo has not lived with cats or small pets. He is reliable around livestock. He is used to living with other dogs of a similar type but has not lived with small dogs and is not confident with very large assertive dogs. He has not lived with small children, although he was in foster with dog-savvy children and was very good with them.
Collie type dogs are typically very lively and intelligent, so Dingo will need an active and interesting lifestyle ongoing, and will need company most of the time - no couch potato lifestyle for this bright young lad!
